At just 16 years old, actress and singer Lindsey Blackwell is on the rise in Hollywood, cementing herself as "one to watch" in the entertainment industry through the captivating characters she brings to life on screen.

This year, Lindsey can be seen starring as Kendra in Netflix's highly anticipated film adaptation of the musical theatre production,"13: The Musical." Based on Jason Robert Brown's Broadway musical, "13: The Musical," is a coming-of-age story following a Jewish teenager, Evan Goldman (Eli Golden) who is forced to move from New York City to small-town Indiana in the wake of his parent's divorce, while he prepares for his impending Bar Mitzvah. Lindsey shines as "Kendra," the head cheerleader and most popular girl at Evan's new school. She is a kind, driven, generous person, and sees the good in people. As Evan tries to navigate complex social circles and make new friends, he becomes entangled in Kendra's love story with another boy at school, Brett (JD McCrary). A triple threat, Lindsey performs several solo musical numbers in the film showcasing her impressive acting, singing, and dancing talents. "13: The Musical" is currently streaming on Netflix.
Also in television, Lindsey recently starred as Marissa on the Oprah Winfrey Network's David Makes Man. Marissa is the best friend and classmate of 14-year-old prodigy, David (Akili McDowell), who is struggling between focusing on his academic future and navigating the dangers of his south Florida neighborhood.

In film, Lindsey made her big-screen debut in Universal Pictures' 2011 comedy The Change Up alongside Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds. Shortly after, she was featured in Essence magazine with her dad, William Blackwell, in Luster's Pink "Daddy Did It" campaign. In 2013, Lindsey was cast in the Tyler Perry film, "Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor" as six-year-old Judith (adult Judith was portrayed by Jurnee Smollett-Bell). Since then, her career has taken off, with booking several film, television, commercial, print, and voice-over roles, for companies such as Cartoon Network, Publix, Ford, AT&T, Graco, and Georgia Power. She was also the face of a major campaign for the Georgia Aquarium.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Lindsey began acting at the age of four, performing a monologue at the Actors, Models, and Talent for Christ's (AMTC) 2010 shine event. During her monologue titled, I Need A Job, she wowed agents and managers with her stage presence, fearless personality, and bright sense of humor, taking home the win of Best Overall Actress. While acting is her greatest passion, Lindsey is a well-balanced student achieving excellence in all of her studies, consistently making Honor Roll, and The Principals' List. She is also a member of Beta Club and the Talented & Gifted program. In between nourishing her love for performing, and her studies, Lindsey enjoys playing piano and singing. Her original single, "Flowers", is now streaming on all platforms, and she is working on an EP featuring several cover songs along with her original song.

On the charity front, Lindsey actively supports Girls For A Change, an organization that focuses on giving girls the support they need as they enter into womanhood. The GFAC programs create access and opportunities in three areas: academic success and career readiness, social-emotional health and wellness, and character and leadership. For several years, Girls For A Change has cultivated an empowering Black space built for Black girls to be seen, heard, and celebrated, through their "One Million Reasons To Build Campaign". Lindsey will co-host their 2022 Diva Bag Auction, to raise proceeds for the campaign. When she is not on-set or in school, Lindsey loves to do her nails in her downtime (a hobby she picked up during quarantine). She resides in Atlanta, Georgia.

Lindsey is represented by A3 Artists Agency (LA), J Pervis Talent Agency (ATL), Vault Entertainment, and Persona PR.
